Aikido 1: Aikido, which is Japanese means "The way of harmony" is first and foremost a martial art. Aikido was founded by Ueshiba Morihei (O sensei) in the early twentieth century and has now grown to be one of the world's most popular martial arts. The concept of aikido is "harmonizing" with the attacker. At its most basic level, aikido is a system of throwing, joint-locking, striking and pinning techniques. In practical terms, an exponent of aikido will use the force of an attack against their aggressor. Aikido also offers a path of personal discovery and character improvement. At its higher levels, it is an effective discipline for the development, integration and utilization for all power human-physical, mental and spiritual. Aikido 1 covers history, philosophy and basic techniques.

This Moodle is mainly to provide support to all of you who registered for the G0131 course, semester 2020/04. In view of the Movement Control Order (MCO) that has been extended until 28 April 2020, unfortunately, our classes couldn't be conducted as normal hence we are opted to depend on the online lessons (until further notice from the university).
Please make sure to log on to your Moodle to see the updated files. You also have to participate in the quizzes through Moodle (the date and time will be confirmed later). Follow through the pre-recorded video that will be uploaded within 24hours for each scheduled class.
Kindly bear in mind, for any changes in the teaching method (such as opting to the Zoom application, Google Meet or Skype (if the lecturer finds it necessary), an email will be sent to all students prior to the class. (our class will happen on each Tuesday starting from 14 April 2020 onwards). Your attendance will be recorded once you access each video from each week. Make sure not to skip any video.
