The objectives of this course are:
1. To master basic theory, knowledge, and thinking skills of international business in this program.
2. To provide enough knowledge as a basis for business negotiation in English.
This course covers areas of concentration, namely; Managing Human Resources Today, Managing Equal Opportunity and Diversity, Personnel Planning and Recruiting, Testing and Selecting Employees, Training and Developing Employees, Performance Management and Appraisal, Compensating Employees, Ethics and Fair Treatment in Human Resource Management, Managing Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining, Protecting Safety and Health.
This course introduces the basic methods of international marketing management, including international environment, Culture
diversification, Political, STP (Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning) strategy, 4Ps’ strategy and Marketing tools. Beside Theory, cases
are implemented in class for analysis and act as simulation to support teaching and learning.
This course is divided into seven parts: 1. Introduction and fundamental theory on Organizational Behavior2. The Individual OB : Diversity in Organizations3. The Individual OB : Attitudes and Job Satisfaction4. The Group OB : Foundations of Group Behavior5. The Group OB : Understanding Work Teams6. The Organization System : Organizational Culture7. The Organization System : Human Resource Policies and Practices.
The course is designed to accomplish three main goals:
• Increase your knowledge of OB concepts so that you can understand and analyze how organizations
and the people within them work.
• Provide you with opportunities to apply OB concepts to real-world problems faced by managers.
• Develop your leadership and management potential. Effective leaders often manage people and
information to accomplish organizational goals under conditions not entirely in their control. Leaders
must successfully be able to diagnose problems, communicate clearly, make effective decisions,
motivate and influence others, manage diversity, and drive organizational change.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
Understand the basic facts, terms, concepts and principles of management and be able to explain the phenomenon of management in global context.
Identify the function of management as well as the difficulty and challenges in management. Have excellent communication and leadership skills and cultural sensitivity
Analyse and critically evaluate the relative issues concerning management.

developing the ability to interpret the numerical information that forms the
basis of decision-making in business. Most of the examples are drawn from a
variety of business applications. This course introduces business statistics
and fundamental aspects of decision-making. It examines aspects of business and
marketing with regards to basic statistical analysis. Students will be provided
with the theoretical concepts, tools and methods of statistics as well as the
opportunity to work through example problems.

This course emphasizes the importance of business communication in the business world. It provides relevant concepts and theories that underpin effective communication applied in the real business world and practices. It takes a practical and analytical approach to the development of content and style in business communications and stresses logic, creativity, concern for audience and importance of psychological approaches to the solution of business problems through tactful oral and written communications.
This course introduces students to the theories, practices, and challenges of enterprise strategy. It consists of five interrelated components:
(1) industries and markets, (2) resources and capability, (3) strategic choices, (4) competing on innovation, and (5) strategy purpose,
process and context.
SEM209_Organizational Behaviour
The goal of this course is to help students develop a conceptual understanding of OB theories and provide them with skills to put those ideas and theories into practice. Key techniques and processes designed to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness are fully examined from the perspective of management, workers, and society at large. It covers a wide breadth of theories and applications dealing with such topics as perception, motivation, decision making, team dynamics, negotiation, conflict management, leadership, and organizational culture.
This course integrates theory and practice. It starts with the introduction of communication in the business context. The learning is supported with other topics on empathy, communication model, and barriers to effective communication. Listening and presentation skills topics are added to enrich the understanding of business communication. Following these topics, the course will examine organizational communication details which include topics on writing messages and reports, among others. The final part of the course is on specific settings and topics on cross-cultural communication, non-verbal communication and communication in job-hunting, are covered. This course is highly interactive with rich examples, cases, role plays, and student participation.
