This is a first course on modern physics. It covers aspect of physics based on
major breakthrough after Newton’s law, Maxwell’s equation and
thermodynamics. Aim to provide rules and foundations that governs many
scientific and engineering disciplines including nanotechnology, quantum
chemistry, biophysics, modern information technology and advanced electronic
design.
This course teaches the fundamentals of mechanics. Topics include kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, conservation of energy and momentum, rigid body rotation, gravitation, oscillations, waves, and an introduction to Special Relativity.
