The
course covers more advanced topics in mathematics namely trigonometry, complex
number, infinite series, differential equations, conics, parametric equations
and polar coordinates, and vectors and the geometry of space.
At the end of the semester, students will be able to:
1. Explain the fundamental theories and concepts of physics (C2)
2. Solve problems and questions related to physics (C3)
Perform simple experiments in physics by following proper instructions (A2, P3)Knowledge and skills in mathematics are required in many aspects of our
lives. Mathematics has wide applications in diverse disciplines. Having a
strong foundation in mathematics is an essential attribute of students who
intend to enrol in undergraduate programmes in the area of science,
engineering, commerce and the arts.
