“Anatomy", which belongs to the category of morphology in the biological sciences, is the study of the morphological structure of normal human body science. Systematic anatomy learning aims to help students understand and grasp normal morphology and structural characteristics of every organ system in the human bodies as well as to provide the morphological basis necessary for learning other basic medicine and preventive medicine curriculum.

This course is an introduction to the human nervous system, with emphasis on the structure and function of the human brain. The most fascinating aspect of neurobiology knowledge is that it spans numerous levels of analysis, tanging from molecular (DNA) and diverse of neuron cells to complex neural systems that interact with one another to perform different functions and they generate behaviour. |
Medical ethics is an essential component of medicine curriculum. It is designed with the purpose of delivering ethical theories and practical skills for medical students to be able to identify, analyze, and resolve ethical problems arising from clinical settings and the wider biomedical context. It is expected that by mastering ethical principles and skills, medical students would be able to choose between options and conduct things that ought to be done for a given patient in a given clinical settings in an ethical warranted manner. Moreover, this course helps students gain insights into the patient-physician relationship from the patient’s perspective as well as the physician’s, so that a harmonious relationship between doctors and patients can be expected. Finally, by introducing this course to students in pre-clinical year, we hope to make the transition from a morally responsible student to a morally responsible physician more logical, more meaningful, and more certain. |
Physiology is the science of the functioning of living systems. It is a sub-discipline of biology. This course mainly discusses the human physiology and is a basic course in medical science. In physiology, the scientific method is applied to determine how organisms, organ systems, organs, cells and biomolecules carry out the chemical or physical function that they have in a living system. This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of function and regulation of the human body as well as the physiological integration of the organ systems to maintain homeostasis. |
Microbiology is one of the most essential knowledge on how we deal with pathogenic organisms which cause human diseases. It covers both medical and molecular aspects of bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology and immunity to various infections. Our understanding of pathogenic microorganisms and their interactions with humans enable the development of numerous therapeutic agents and preventive alternatives for combating infectious diseases. |
