CME591 Master ResearchThis course assists Master students in research and allows students to hands-on in the experiment. The topic includes experimental designs, analysis and presentation of research data and writing scientific reports and preparation of oral presentations. The student has to find a suitable supervisor(s). The research topic will be finalized after discussion with the supervisor(s). This is a Compulsory Attendance course with a pass/fail grade, zero credit value. Master students by research must register for this course every semester (6 months). The objective of this course is to provide students with a depth of research skills, cultivate an interest in science and engineering discovery and promote scientific communication in society.

CME691 PhD ResearchThis course assists PhD students in research and allows students to hands-on in the experiment. The topic includes experimental designs, analysis and presentation of research data and written scientific reports and preparation of oral presentations. The student has to find a suitable supervisor(s). The research topic will be finalized after discussion with the supervisor(s). This is a Compulsory Attendance course with pass/fail grade, zero credit value. PhD students by research must register this course every semester (6 months).  The objective of this course is to provide students with a depth of research skills, cultivate an interest in science and engineering discovery and promote scientific communication in society.

The topic includes experimental designs, analysis and presentation of research data and written scientific reports and preparation of oral presentations. The student has to find a suitable supervisor(s). The research topic will be finalized after discussion with the supervisor(s). Grading is on Pass (P)/Fail (F). The objective of this course is to provide students with a foundation of research skills, cultivate an interest in science and engineering and encourage communication in the relevant discipline.

CME598 PhD Research (2): This course assists PhD students in research and allows students to hands-on in the experiment. The topic includes experimental designs, analysis and presentation of research data and written scientific reports and preparation of oral presentations. The student has to find a suitable supervisor(s). The research topic will be finalized after discussion with the supervisor(s). Grading is on Pass (P)/Fail (F). The objective of this course is to provide students with a foundation of research skills, cultivate an interest in science and engineering and encourage communication in the relevant discipline.

 

 

Long Semester

CME597 Master Research (5)This course assists master students in fundamental research and allows students to hands-on in the experiment. CME599 PhD Research (10)This course assists PhD students in research and allows students to hands-on in the experiment. The topic includes experimental designs, analysis and presentation of research data and written scientific reports and preparation of oral presentations. The student has to find a suitable supervisor(s). The research topic will be finalized after discussion with the supervisor(s). This course requires a longer learning hour compared to the course code of CME598. Grading is on Pass (P)/Fail (F). The objective of this course is to provide students with a depth of research skills, cultivate an interest in science and engineering discovery and promote scientific communication in society.
