Course Category Selection

This course teaches structure and chemistry of common functional groups such as alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, alcohols, ethers and epoxides, aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, and aromatic compounds. Emphasis is placed on understanding the relationship between structure and reactivity.
