FIA2301 Basics Of Information & Communication Technology
The course covers the impact and importance of information technology, the Internet and the Web in the social and commercial spheres, the information technology
infrastructure, and the issues of privacy, security and ethics in online and digital communication.

The course covers an introduction to beauty and aesthetics, an overview of the design field, design concepts and ideas, form and space, working with colours, typography, using and creating imagery, layout and arrangement, and context and production.
To enable students to understand the accounting equation, double-entry system, posting to journal and ledger and the preparation of financial statements.

The course introduces various types and styles of media writing suitable for the journalism, public relations and advertising industries. Ample practice is given to developing the writing skills for efficient and effective writing for the media.
Foundation Course for December 2025 (FIA)
The course covers the fundamentals of the business environment, global business, business ownerships, management and organisation, marketing concepts and strategies, business ethics, and social responsibility.
Basic Communication Research FIA3311
The course introduces students to the fundamental concepts and approaches of social science research, including research methods, procedures and design, sampling and data collection techniques. Students are also exposed to the components of a research proposal.
