The 1st part is an introduction to China as a diverse and dynamic site of political and cultural entities and historical developments using as our selected topics and issues that link various periods in China’s past with the present. Ongoing concerns will be the values—both personal and social—that develop and change through China’s many ongoing traditions and that inform social stratification, political organization, and the concepts and rationales through which Chinese people have identified.
STC202609
This course covers various topics on probability and statistics, including conditional probability, random variables and distributions, expectation, typical distributions, stochastic processes, estimation, testing hypotheses, categorical data and nonparametric methods, and linear statistical models.
In this course we discuss the differential and integral caclulus.
Course Summary:
This course covers the fundamental concepts, principles and analysis method of computer architecture, and also the boundary of software and hardware. In particular, this course discusses the trends in computer design, computer performance, instruction set architecture, logic gates and their function in computer design, role of memory hierarchy in computer architecture, and different types of parallelism that can be used to improve the performance of a computer. Completion of this course will help the students to have a better understanding on the computer design principles.

SWE310 Programming Elective II (2) 2026/09
This course serves as the introduction for the students to begin .NET design and implementation. Thus, first of all, we provide the C# introduction. The students could understand the basic C# Syntax and Lib usage. Then, we introuduce the basic controls, objects and technologies in .NET. In this part, the student could review and compare with the JavaEE technologies. Last, we introduce Advanced .NET techs, namely XML, LINQ, AJAX, etc. In the final class, the student should present their projects as final assessment.

This course is an introductory course of accounting. After learning the course, students are expected to understand the double-entry system in accounting, the accounting cycle, the accounting treatment of major balance sheet items, such as cash, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, intangible assets, current liabilities, long-term liabilities and owners' equity. Case study will be applied to develop students’ professional judgment, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
