The course introduces the different types of natural products, including polypeptide, fatty acid, phenylpropanoid, quinonoid, flavonoid, terpenoid, steroid, alkaloid, glycoside and peptide, and the future drug development of bioactive compounds isolated from marine flora and fauna with scientific integrity, especially regarding the purification and structure elucidation techniques involved.
