In addition to introducing the development and evolution of world Chinese literature, the course also focuses on distinguished world Chinese writers and their works to reflect and analyze the value of Chinese literature around the world. The course aims to enhance students' understanding and appreciation towards world Chinese
writers, their works, and their multi identities, in the context of the development, current situation and regional characteristics of world Chinese literature.

《说文解字导读》这门课程主要讲授《说文解字》的成书背景、编纂体例和主要版本，以及许慎六书的定义、《说文解字》中的540个部首、字形结构及隶变过程，旨在为古代汉字的深入研究奠定基础。
This course examines Shuowen Jiezi , the dictionary compiled by Xu Shen during the Eastern Han dynasty, emphasizing its author, format, and major editions. It focuses on the 540 radicals, characters, and the clericalization process, providing a foundation for the study of ancient Chinese characters.

CHS3150 Selected Readings of Modern Chinese Poetry（ Major Elective）
This course explores modern Chinese poetry from the May Fourth Movement to contemporary. It emphasizes close textual analysis while also addressing the historical development and stylistic characteristics of the works. It also focuses on distinguished poets of different generations in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia. The course is designed to stimulate students' interest in modern poetry, improve their ability to appreciate literature, and expand their aesthetic sensibilities.

《古典文献学》主要讲授版本学、目录学、校勘学与训诂学等基础知识。内容包括文献的定义、古书版本体式、历代刻书沿革、目录的分类与演变、校勘的方法及校勘记的撰写，并介绍训诂学的内容，以及辑佚与辨伪的方法。课程旨在帮助学生了解古典文献学的研究范围与方法，掌握古籍整理与判读的基本原则，建立文献研究的能力，为今后的学术写作与文献整理奠定基础。
This course introduces the core methods and concepts of Chinese classical philology, including material carriers of texts, catalogues, and editions. It also explores methods of textual collation, exegesis, and authentication.
